Inner and Outer Masks
Whether we know it or not, we all wear masks. There are aspects of ourselves that we want the world to see. There are aspects of ourselves that we want people to believe.
But what is our interior mask? What parts do we keep just for ourselves? What do we choose to hide?
In this workshop, we will explore both sides of our mask using an array of collage materials on white paper masks to create a representation of our inner and outer expressions.
Because there's nothing wrong with creating a mask to represent ourselves in a certain way or choosing not to share every part of ourselves with the world. The most important piece is to be in choice about what we share and what we keep.
(Art materials: white paper masks, Modge Podge, scissors and collage materials like fabric, tissue paper and magazines.)
